OI-Net parallel workgroups for the Work Packages WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5

  • Working groups for WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5 are running in parallel
  • The synchronicity of events has been ensured to facilitate the connections and exchanges between the OI-Net members and the networking as well
  • The venue will be provided soon
  • The hotel will be booked centrally (unless the participant prefers organizing the room on his/her own), the information about the hotel will be provided soon
  • The meeting will start on Thursday (13.11.14) at 13:00 with the board meeting and the General meeting is expected to start at 14:30.
  • Arrival of participants is expected for the 13 November before the meeting, to benefit as much as possible of the afternoon of the Thursday 13th (to warm up on the topics,
    to attend various hands-on practical sessions on the networking tools and on the quality assurance process).
  • Preparing working discussions will then take place on the Thursday afternoon.
  • Dinner on the 13th evening is organized by the OI-Net project
  • The intensive meeting (presentations, discussions and validations) will take place on the Friday 14th (full day), with possible synthesis, at least between WP Leaders
  • Lunch and Dinner on the Friday 14th are organized by the OI-Net project.
  • The ending time of the workgroups meeting is expected at 18:00 on the Friday 14th, and the Dinner will start at 20:00.
  • Departure of participants is expected for Friday (14.11.14) late evening or Saturday (15.11.14) morning. The OI-Net projectcovers up to 2 overnight stays.
  • Only one participant per partner organization is expected. If a partner organization wants to come at several participants, it may not be sure that the project can cover
    (fully or even partly) costs of the supplementary participants. In such kind of case please inform Ekaterina Albats (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) well in advance.

 

How to get from the airport to the hotel:
- 1st option: take a taxi (official, authorized taxis are recommended; taxi stop is just in front of the exit from the arrival hall. Taxi price appx.50-60 PLN = 12-16 Euro)
- 2nd option: take a bus no 175 to the Central Railway Station; travel time appx. 15-20 min, single ticket price appx. 1 Euro; next take a tram no 9 or 24 (direction to the east),
ticket price as above, travel time 15-20 min. Find where to take off in the attached plan.

how to get the meeting venue
If you wish to use public transport, you will find numerous public transport links to take you to any other part of the city.
You can get to the hotel from the airport by taking bus No 175, and change, at the Central Railway Station (Dworzec Centralny) for tram No 9 or No 24.
Direct bus links (123 and 173) take you to the hotel from the main railway station (Dworzec Wschodni) on the right bank of the Vistula River.

It will provide categorized OI materials based on the industry specific needs (?), level of study (bachelor, master), intensity (full year, semester, intensive course etc) that OI-Net members could customize for their own use. The CCF will cover case studies, IPR topics and other materials and tools developed in WP3 and WP4

*At least 3 pilot implementations of the CCF will be planned to test the Common Curricula Framework, the Terms of Reference, the Pedagogical guidelines. These pilots will in fact participate to the construction of all these elements after the first version of CCF and ToRs. The pilots will test the approach in different contexts (full curricula on OI, advanced Units, and sub-unit modules to be integrated into other curricula and trainings).
